It’s a beautiful morning, but it’s Monday. The day where all activities are restarted after a vacation, even if it’s only one day off. Maybe for some people Monday is not a problem but for Febri, a kindergarten teacher, Monday is a day when she has to start all her activities from scratch, starting from getting up early, taking younger siblings to school, teaching, and lectures. Febri was not a diligent person, she was lazy because she hated Mondays.

In a room that is still very dark, yes very very dark because Febri is still fast asleep, very deep even though his alarm is very noisy like a parrot it seems that only earthquakes can wake him up. But it didn’t take long for Febri to wake up maybe he was patient that today was Monday. Febri went straight to the bathroom even though with a sluggish step, the water was very cold which made her wake up completely. After bathing, Febri put on clothes, prayed and tidied up followed by breakfast to be strong to face this abstract life.

“ayuk …” the sentence that came out from febri to her younger brother Abdul,, ‘a minute first sis, a little more is done’ that was Abdul’s answer, simple but made febri upset, angry and even wanted to scream. Febri is very easy to get angry especially with Abdul, until Abdul nicknamed her kak ros. No matter how tired febri is, she still has to wait for her sister because the distance between home and her sister’s elementary school is quite far which requires febri to take her sister to elementary school before she leaves for teaching. “Ayuk sis long,,” deliciously abdul said like that even though it was febri who waited for him from earlier, but febri did not answer because he did not have the energy to respond to his very annoying sister. Off they went by motorcycle.

In the middle of the journey, febri’s motorcycle tire went flat. Angry, upset, wanting to cry that’s what febri felt. They stopped by the side of the road, “why?” Abdul asked in surprise because it was still far from his school. “The gasoline ran out” replied febri with annoyance, not annoyed with Abdul but annoyed with this situation. On the side of the road, febri was confused about what to do because there was no retail gas station close to here and she was also afraid that her sister would be late for school. silence febri long enough on the side of the road while praying that there will be a good person who can help her and her sister, because febri’s sister is already wearing glasses afraid of being late and ending up being punished. And his prayer was answered there was a man of the same age as febri approached the two of them.

“What’s wrong with your motorbike” the voice made febri turn his head, ‘this is the gasoline is gone’ replied febri weakly, ‘I happened to bring gasoline’ replied the man while holding up a used aqua bottle filled with gasoline,,, there febri really wanted to dance because he was so happy, ‘but wait if this man wants to give his gasoline to me or not’ said febri in his heart. “Well, yes, what a coincidence, can I buy the gasoline?” asked febri hopefully. “Yes, you can use it, I think you need it more, what’s more, your sister is about to cry,” said the man. “Thank you very much sir, if there is no mas I don’t know what to do” said a very happy febri. Poured the gasoline into febri’s motorcycle, “here is the money” said febri while giving twenty thousand, “no need for tea, I’m free” said the good man, “that’s right mas, I’m not good”.

asked febri to make sure. “Yes, no need, I’ll go first, I want to buy eggs, my mother is waiting for me to make fried rice,” said the man as he left. Febri carried the motorcycle with a very happy heart feeling because there were people who helped him, so he forgot to ask the man’s name and what confused him was why the man brought gasoline early in the morning what else he said he wanted to give eggs but it was okay, the important thing was that he could take his sister to school and fortunately not be late if he was late and his mother knew he could be angry with her because of his carelessness who forgot to fill the motorcycle gas. “Let’s call him a good man,” febri muttered to himself on the motorcycle.

The message we can take from the story above is that whatever day it is we must be enthusiastic about living the day and we must not be careless if we don’t want something bad to happen to us.
