Critical Evaluation
The theme of this movie is very suitable considering the survey results about mental disorders that continue to increase in today’s teenagers. By watching this movie we are reminded not to always harbor trauma. We must face it and be supported by those closest to us.The characters in this movie are a representation of individuals who have emotional problems and pent-up feelings. The storyline is good from the introduction of Tari and her stressful life, until Tari succeeds from the toxic environment created by her father.
Conclusion
This movie is suitable for teenagers who have a stressful life like Tari. Learning that we must get out of toxic environments and learning to be a parent who does not take out their anger on others. That we don’t have to endure everything ourselves, we don’t have to endure crying. Crying does not signify that we are weak. We have the right to be ourselves. We can tell our closest people or people we trust. Never feel alone, because many people actually care about you. Many people love you. There is a god who protects you. So let’s normalize telling stories to others.
Argumentative Elements
Concrete evidence of the subject of this movie quote is when Tari says “Why do I have to keep pretending to be strong? Can I just cry for once?”The scene where Tari always cries and tells stories with her pet fish when she hears her parents’ arguments.
