This story narrates the journey of a teacher named Ms.Aisyah,who teaches at aninclusive school.it portrays her emotions,challenges,and the valuable lessons she learn while guiding children with special needs,discovering light in the midst of their struggles.—In a quiet corner of a small town stood Tunas Sejahtera, an inclusive school known for its nurturing and attentive approach to children with special needs.

Ms.Aisyah,a young teacher fresh out of college,had just begun her career there.with a heart full of enthusiasm,she was eager to make a difference in the lives of her students, yet,she soon realized that her job was far more challenging than she had imagined.On her first day,she meet Malik,a boy with Autism Spectrum Disorder who loved to draw.Malik rarely spoke,but his world came alive through the lines and colours on his paper.Than there was Canna, a child with ADHD, who often felt insecure due to her difficulty with reading.in the same class, there was Arsya, whose boundless energi made the classroom a lively place.

At first,Ms.Aisyah felt overwhelmed. The lessons she carefully planned often fell apart because Malik became immersed in his own world, Canna struggled to keep up, and Arsyacould not sit still for more than five minutes.One day, after an exhausting lesson, Ms.Aisyah almost gave up. She wondered if she was good enough for this job.

After the lesson, Ms.Aisyah approadched the principal and shared her experience of the day.“Ma’am, i feel like i’am not good enough to teach children like them” she said“Ms.Aisyah this only your first day with them. Are you sure you want to give up already?”replied the principal”i’am afraid i won’t be able to understand them, Ma’am.”said Ms.Aisyah“You must remember,every child has their own light.our job is to find it.”said the principalThe words deeply touched Ms.Aisyah,reigniting her spirit to continue this work.“okay,Ma’am. Tomorrow i will try harder to understand them,”said Ms.Aisyah with newfound confidence.

The next day, Ms.Aisyah decided to try a different approach. She changed her teaching method to be more creative and personal. She encouraged Malik to draw the stories they would read, so he could connect with the lesson. For Canna,she used picture cards to help her recognize letters. Meanwhile, Arsya’s energi was channeled into educational games where he could move while learning.

Little by little, Ms.Aisyah began to see changes. Malik started sharing his drawings with his classmate. Canna, tough slowly, gained more confidence in reading aloud in class. And Arsya, with his wide smile, managed to complete tasks without leaving his seat.

One day, Malik handed Ms.Aisyah a drawing. Ma’am, this for you,” said Malik, approaching her. The drawing depicted a woman surrounded by light with children smiling around her.Underneath, it was written in my slightly messy letters: “Thank you, Ma’am”M.s Aisyah’s heart warmed. ”Thank you so much,Malik”She realized that tough this journey was full of challenges, every small step was a big victory.
